Baptisms

Our Saint Cecilia Room can serve as a gathering place after the baptismal service.  The Saint Cecilia Room is bright and airy with newly refurbished recessed lighting and plenty of space to enjoy refreshments with family and friends after the service.  For larger groups, our Parish Hall can accommodate groups of up to 150.

St. Stephen’s Church is a beautiful old stone church that will add beauty and character to your child’s baptism and your photos…. A short walk from our front door you will find one of the only public waterfront parks on Long Island, where photo opportunities abound overlooking beautiful Manhasset Bay… and every night the sun sets directly over the bay producing a spectacular display of colors.

Weddings

Our Saint Cecilia Room can serve as a gathering place for the wedding party beforehand.  The Saint Cecilia Room is bright and airy with newly refurbished recessed lighting and plenty of space to prepare for the ceremony.  This room can also be used for a reception afterward for groups of 50 or less.

For larger groups or for your reception, our Parish Hall can accommodate groups of up to 150, and includes a stage area, professional kitchen, and all dinnerware and equipment necessary for your special celebration.

St. Stephen’s Church sits atop a hill overlooking the beautiful Manhasset Bay.  The stunning water views can also be enjoyed from many catering facilities very close by….  H on the Harbor, The Manhasset Bay Yacht Club, The Port Washington Yacht Club, and the Village Club at Sands Point all offer reception facilities and catering.

Conveniently Located

By Car: After taking exit 36 off of I-495, go North on Searingtown Road for 1.3 miles, passing by Christopher Morley Park.  Go straight through the intersection at Northern Blvd. (25A) and continue 2.7 miles on Port Washington Blvd.  Turn left onto Main Street in Port Washington, continue 0.8 miles, and you will see the entrance to St. Stephen’s on your left just past the public library and the Landmark building.

By Train: St. Stephen’s is a short train ride from New York’s Penn Station on the LIRR to the Port Washington Station, then a 10 minute walk west to the church.  Taxi service from the train to the church is readily available.
