Sept 2019 – June 2020 Sunday School And Youth Group Calendar

SEPTEMBER

Sunday Sept. 8^th – Family Service-10AM– Let’s get off to a great start with the new school year!! Please “ALL KIDS” wear your new school backpacks to church and PLEASE consider donating a school supply or a backpack for Long Island Cares. All of your generous donations, and all the kids in the congregation, will receive a beautiful blessing for a wonderful new school year!!!

Sunday Sept. 15^th – 1^ST Day of Sunday School And Youth Group –  Registration starts at 9:40 in the courtyard (weather permitting) otherwise in the parish hall.  Classes start at 10AM.

Sunday Sept 22^nd – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM, Teacher’s meeting during coffee hour

Sunday Sept 29^th – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM

OCTOBER

Sunday Oct. 6^th – Blessing of the Animals-10AM Service-NO Sunday School/Youth Group. This service is usually in the courtyard (weather permitting) otherwise in the parish hall. Please bring your pets and or favorite stuffed animal, they deserve blessings too.

Sunday Oct. 13^th – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM

Sunday Oct 27^th —  Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM– Halloween Bake Sale Fundraiser-Raising money for “Blessings in a Backpack” During Coffee hour in the parish hall

NOVEMBER

Sunday Nov 3^rd – Family Service-10AM-“All Saints Parade” NO Sunday School/Youth Group – ALL kids participate in the parade, either reading or carrying a banner.  We will hand out bags to collect food  to help Our Lady of Fatima’s Thanksgiving Day Food drive. Also fill backpacks during coffee hour for “Blessings in a Backpack”

Sunday Nov. 10^th – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM

Sunday Nov. 17^th – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM

Sunday Nov. 24^th – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM– deliver donated Thanksgiving food to Our Lady of Fatima right after church

DECEMBER

Sunday Dec. 1^st –   NO Sunday School/Youth Group– Happy Thanksgiving

Sunday Dec. 8^th –   Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM- Christmas Pageant rehearsal          

Sunday Dec. 15^th – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM- Christmas Pageant rehearsal

Sunday Dec. 22^nd – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM –Pageant Dress Rehearsal – CHRISTMAS PAGEANT will be during coffee hour in the parish hall

Sunday Dec. 29^th – NO Sunday School/Youth Group—Happy Holidays

JANUARY

FEBRUARY 

Sunday Feb. 2^nd – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM – Super Bowl Chili Fundraiser during coffee

MARCH

Sunday Mar. 8^th – Girl Scout Sunday- There IS Sunday School/Youth Group, we will start in church for the Girl Scout Blessing.  There will be an art project after the blessing for ALL kids.

Sunday Mar 15^th – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM – Passion rehearsal during coffee hour – ALL ages are welcome to join

Sunday Mar 22^nd – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM – Passion rehearsal during coffee hour

Sunday Mar 29^th – Sunday School/Youth Group – 10AM – Passion rehearsal during coffee hour

APRIL

Sunday Apr. 5^th — Palm Sunday- We will perform The Passion of Jesus Christ during the 10AM service, then leave to decorate Easter eggs and other fun activities.

Sunday Apr. 12^th – NO Sunday School/Youth Group– Happy Easter!! Easter Egg Hunt and a visit from the  Easter Bunny starting at 10AM in the courtyard

Sunday Apr. 19^th – Possible Helen’s Walk or Cleaning the Park for Earth Day, during the 10AM Service
